Benefits

*Please excuse the fact that I am IN these photos...looking rather like I feel as of late. That is to say, sleepy, messy, and sickly. But I am never privelege to these sweet types of cuddles, so these pictures are golden. She was patting my back while we snuggled. My heart has grown three sizes!

Soooo sweet. I've been getting a few of those snuggles lately, too!

Oh, and I think that Mme. L. and KayTar have exactly the same pyjamas!

Sickly? You look just perfect and gorgeous.

What a priceless photo. Love the little pat.

Hang in there, sweetie.

So very sweet. Although having a sick child is never fun....that reward is worth something:). I just had to post because my daughter (who is 3) just went to bed with the same jammies...on the same pillow case:). We have many medical issues also, so I know where you are coming from. I hope that all of the sick bugs leave your household SOON, and Kaytar feels much better SOON!

The photos are lovely, and I have been dying to see what Kaytar's Mom looks like. Now I know the side of your face at least! How is the poor babe? Have you managed to stave off any more trips to hospital? Hang in there...

How lovely. I never used to get cuddles from G either - now she is all kisses and hugs and snuggles (which I adore!)

Those are lovely photos, and no excuses needed. None!

I'm so sorry she's having such a rough time of it (and, by the natural way of families, all of you as well). I hope, at least, you are feeling better. Strep is such a yucky illness. Plus, I've also heard that there's been an incredibly nasty tummy bug circulating all over the country right now.

If she has to go back in, you might want to check into using emla cream on her. Sometimes they cover the stuff with a tegaderm, which can hurt coming off, but you can use plastic kitchen wrap just as well (I even used to keep some in the car just for this purpose!). The problem you might run in to is that the person placing the IV has to come choose the spots and place the cream, and then wait long enough for the stuff to work - usually at least 30 minutes. Some places just want to get in and get the IV and get on with it. Plus, you can't do that if it's an emergency situation. But it's helped Anni's fear of needles immensely to always have the cream.*

*although I've also known kids whose anxiety just gets ramped up by having the cream announce the coming IV for 30 minutes. So your results may vary.
