Storytime with KayTar

This morning she was sitting on the couch reading to herself and I had to get the camera out. Some of it is memory (whatdoewwsee?), but some of it she is actually reading! The kid knocks my socks off sometimes.

Yeah, the cuteness knocks *my* socks off! By the time she starts 1st grade she'll be reading the classics, jeesh!

Wow...always impressive, Kyla.

Easton is on my lap clearly impressed too. He knows she *shouldn't* be able to read so he had the funniest look on his face as she read one of his favorite books.

Yay!

Go KayTar! I love it when Pumpkinpie "reads" (not quite there yet) books to me. I'm just gonna bust when she really gets it. You must be so damn proud!

Aren't children the most amazing little bundles of wonder you've ever encountered?

Incredible.

She is so smart - just like her mom. And holy cow, I've read that book so many times - B never gets bored with it.

Beautiful! This is one of Jack Jack's favorite books too. Maybe I will let KayTar read to him later.

She is so complex! I can see (hear) the echolalia (I'm totally not spelling that correctly, but you know what I mean,) but then it is pretty clear she is reading the words - so she repeats things, but also takes initiative. Smartie, indeed. I keep thinking she is much older than she actually is.

She is awesome!

I was just reading up on your previous posts and I am sorry to hear of her light sensitivity issues, but I see that she got out yesterday and had some fun. I hope things are getting better.

Wow, Kyla -- she is adorable and obviously (to use use Pynchon's phrase) she is a BABY GENIUS.

Nice to hear your voice on this, too :-)
