KayTar: Look at my markers, BubTar. They're magic!
BubTar: No they aren't, KayTar!
KayTar: Moooom! BubTar said my markers aren't magic!
Me: BubTar, just let her pretend.
BubTar: But they aren't magic! Someone just made them do that so kids will THINK they are magic, but I'm too smart for that.
Me: BubTar, don't be so cynical.
BubTar: What? Is cynical another word for SMART?
Sadly, that is what passes for smart these days. Oh poor, jaded Bub-Tar.
I love Bubtar! That was perfectly played!
*snort* he sounds just like The Boy!
That's great! You have some pretty smart kids. Cynical or not.
And just what makes plain old "magic markers" so "magic" anyhow?
Ahh, the older child.
Tell him yes, yes it does. :) Unfortunately.
LOL! Gotta love it! That was adorable.
I think cynical means too smart for your own good, under such circumstances. ;-)
hee - oh Bubtar, let the magic live for a little why longer please?
My 9 YO has a hard time letting JJ just pretend sometimes too. It is hard to let the little one still have the Magic, when the older siblings are just so "smart." :)
So I've only got 2 more years before the magic comes to an end? Sigh...
I think cynical *is* another word for smart, and so does my L.!
Or, um Smart A_ _?
I'm glad that he just jumps right to the most optimistic answer!
I think it is beautiful he is preparing Kaytar for the real world. That is what older siblings are for!!
i love that kid.
Let me guess...Aquadoodles? :)
He is one smart cookie!
