A Song for Saturday instead

all around me are familiar faces
worn out places
worn out faces
bright and early for the daily races
going no where
going no where
their tears are filling up their glasses
no expression
no expression
hide my head i wanna drown my sorrow
no tomorrow
no tomorrow
and i find i kind of funny
i find it kind of sad
the dreams in which i'm dying are the best i've ever had
i find it hard to tell you
i find it hard to take
when people run in circles its a very very
mad world
mad world
children waiting for the day they feel good
happy birthday
happy birthday
and i feel the way that every child should
sit and listen
sit and listen
went to school and i was very nervous
no one knew me
no one knew me
hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
look right through me
look right through me
and i find i kind of funny
i find it kind of sad
the dreams in which i'm dying are the best i've ever had
i find it hard to tell you
i find it hard to take
when people run in circles its a very very
mad world
mad world
enlarging your world
mad world
- Mad World, Gary Jules (cover of Tears for Fears)

That was a depressing song but a cool video.

Wow that song is a blast from the past!

What a big Tears for Fears fan I was!

I went to the concert for that album in...was it 1982???

Oh yes, Wikipedia confirms...1982!

Yeah I thought Roland Orzabal was so cool...so deep. Man.

Okay so present tense that.

I still like that song.

That's one of my favorite songs! (Although I wasn't introduced to it until Donnie Darko...)

Love the song. And, yes, there are days like that. Sometimes there are too many in a row.

I pray your world may soon make more sense.

I kind of like the cover version better than the original.

I actually like the original version since I'm such a child of the 80s. Very cool video though . . .
