KayTar learned how to somersault this evening!
Yes, I know a 3 minute video of my toddler somersaulting is just a wee bit self-indulgent, but I'm a blogger, so I'm entitled, right? Right.
And also? She did it for at least 45 minutes straight, so this is the incredibly condensed version. Feel lucky. I was repeating, "Push off, and ROLL!" every 30 seconds for 45 minutes. At one point she told me, "Do it! With mouth! WOOHOO KAYTAR!" Which translates roughly to, "Hey you! You are SUPPOSED to be CHEERING! Get with it!" (check out Sage's comment, I think she nailed the PERFECT translation)
But she is doing it! Wait until we show her physical therapist on Thursday! :)

That's SO cool.
I think you should translate it as "Can I get a 'WOOOHOOOOO!!!'?" ;)
she is officially better at gymnastics than me! Rock on babygirl!
woooooooo . . . you go, girl!
KAYTAR RULES! Loved the video! She is so adorable! WHo showed her the new trick? Bubtar?
That completely rocks the block!
I have to tell you that my kids were watching the video, saying, "Aw, she's so cute! Who is that? Why is she so cute?" Now they want to make their own somersault video, which would be less impressive given that they are 8 and 6.
That is soo exciting!! Bet you were soo excited!
WOOOOOHOOOOOOOO
That's fantastic!
That is awesome! I love it!
Her gymnast abilities far surpass my own. I'm impressed!
That is awesome Kyla!!!
Go Kaytar!!
And on a sidenote..look at those curls!! Love em!
Too much cuteness. That's adorable.
That is so exciting! She's got really great form keeping her chin tucked.
I'm impressed. And I'm impressed with her attention span to do that for 45 minutes as well.
Yay!
GO KAYTAR!!!! And keep celebrating, Kyla!
THat is awesome. Ben (3) and Clara (1) and I watched it together. Clara went Woooooo everytime you did. And when I asked Ben if he would like to learn how to do a summersault like Kaytar. He said "No, No, No. I can't do it." but he clapped for Kaytar. He thought she was great.
And man are the curls the cutest.
ach...it will not open for me!
Whoo hoo!
That is so awesome.
Hailey can't do that at all.
OMG, that is fantastic. I am soooo showing this to Miss M who cannot even approximate a somersault and add to that the fact that I am too freakin' old and stiff to demonstrate for her. Oh yes, this video will be going into rotation at our house.
And give a big WOOOOOHOOOOO to Kay-Tar from me. BTW, I love the "One time. One time..." We get that a lot in my house.
hurray for kaytar!
WOW. The Baby is nowhere NEAR to being able to do that - although they DO share hairstyles.
