Walkerversary

This day last year, she walkered her first steps.

I forget. I forget so often that only a year ago she was still my little lump. My sweet sugar lumpy KayTar. She wasn't speaking. She wasn't walking. She wasn't doing a multitude of other things both big and small that she can do today. Things we now take for granted. She was mostly silent, closed off, a quiet mystery we never thought we would unravel. The mystery is not solved, it might never be, but every day her life whispers to us new secrets. She gives us treasured moments we never dared to expect, and fills us with joy and wonder at our not so normal little girl, finally achieving the mundane, everyman milestones of childhood. She has come so far, my baby turned big girl who can do so much more than we ever thought possible.

Best wishes

Can anyone explain the extra box that seems to have mysteriously appeared on blogger comments? Something with an update thingy?

This is my calling card or link"Whittereronautism"until blogger comments get themselves sorted out.

This has truly been an amazing year for KayTar. Without trying to sound corny, I'm so glad I've been witness to "the journey".

It has been a joy getting to know your family this past year. It's also an amazing thing watch our special kids grow and mature just like their siblings. In some ways it's better since the whole process is much slower and easier to digest.

Wow! Look at her go. I have a feeling she'll be doing laps around all of us one day . . .

Happy, happy walkerversary KayTar!

Ah, she is just doing so amazingly well. Your heart must just swell every day.

And - I have been terribly lapse in visiting lately - people are just posting too often and I'm too tired! But I did write you a xmas card and then notice that I don't know where you live... As I said to Jenny, I feel like you guys are my neighbours and I can just drop it off. But won't you send me your address so I can actually get it to you, please?
