The Sweetest Thing

Well, one of the sweetest things at least. :) Today during naptime KayTar was having a hard time sleeping, but she wasn't quite ready to be awake, so I put her in bed with me. This is a rare event, because the girl likes her own space while sleeping. She ended up falling asleep again and I just laid beside her and watched her dreaming. A few minutes later, she started signing in her sleep! I know some people talk in their sleep, but I had never thought about those who speak sign language signing in their sleep. It was incredibly adorable. She was so sweet, all rosey cheeked in dreamland, signing about apples and cheese. :)

Just so you feel the full effect of her adorable-ness, I'll let you experience a waking version. :) Enjoy!

Hi Kyla,
I just caught up with the last few posts you've written. First I just wanted to say that I will say a prayer that the doctors will be able to help your daughter with whatever is wrong with her. I am glad you are a little further along towards a diagnosis. I can't imagine how difficult this must be. You are handling it so well. I'm sure your strength will help pull your family through.

Second, the signing in her sleep thing is adorable. I watched the video too and loved how she made the signs. We are teaching little guy signs. He uses a few and I think it's the cutest thing too, and comes in so handy (uh, no pun intended there.)

She's adorable! And signing for apples and cheese in her sleep is beautiful, like a little poem.
