She survived.
We survived.
We were up way too late. WAY TOO LATE.
Josh said, "KayTar! That was one of your best episodes yet!" I looked at him, fairly confused, as it was her longest episode in quite a while and the only one we've had to give her double doses of meds. He clarified, "Well, it wasn't THAT painful, and she's right back to normal. No more regressions." And that really is a win, because when your kid is still only eating maybe 3 chips a day or maybe on a really good week 1 veggie burger once a week, there really isn't THAT MUCH room for further regression. We're happy to keep our status quo.
It is done and the clock starts again.
Today, I'm going on a road trip with Julie and her tiny little mouse car, thoroughly pleased that the clock has been reset and I can put my worries aside again, at least for 73 days, I hope.

Oh, poor KayTar. I am glad she is feeling better. Have a good time on your roadtrip!
Have a great time!
Happy roadtrip....and we'll pray this space is Looooooonger than 73 days!!
safe travels in the mouse car, friend.
and there is something about the clock starting again, the cyclicality of this, that makes me shake my head with the greatest respect...for the mysteries of living and surviving, KayTar and you both.
Just catching up Kyla ... 73 days! That's really something I think, and Josh is right to feel cheered by how it went. I'm so glad for all of you that it's over once more.
Have a good travel ...
(Of course you should be a doctor. You could really work the Doogie Howser aspect and freak people out. Because what's a medical license without abuse of power?)
Yay, it's over!
Mouse car. Trippy.
Have fun.
Glad she's back on her feet! Have fun on that road trip...
Have a safe trip - and I'm glad that KayTar is okay today.
It sounds like a scary one, what with lasting so long. I'm so glad it's behind you.
Have a wonderful time on your road trip.
sigh. I hope it's the last one too. Have a wonderful trip :)
i want it to be the last one, ever. AND I want you to go and have fun
Praying for a clear 73+ days my friend!
Have a good roadtrip, take care little KayTar and I really hope this time the 73 day record will look like chicken feed.
if anyone deserves some wind in her face it's you. have a wonderful time.
Kyla this just ripps my heart out.
A new record and a quick recovery are good though.
Hope you are having a great trip.
may it be 73 and counting this time around. Have fun, drive safe and give Sage a big hug for me will ya?
i'm glad she is better now.
hug julie for me.
Running on empty
Eight hours sounds like an eternity to me! You are so strong and so brave and you've passed those character traits to your precious daughter.
How ironic that it began during an evaluation? Will they document that? Will that become part of her evaluation?
It's good to hear she bounced back better - that is good news, at least. And 73 days! Enjoy that well-earned trip, honey.
