For him or for you? ;-)

Here's what I remember about 2nd grade for both my boys - it's a hard year. A transition year from the nurturing cocoon of K and 1st when they are still the 'little kids' to the Real Deal of academic learning. The expectations get bigger and homework gets harder.

Just be ready for that part of it potentially :-)

It's also a great year to watch them develop. Personally I loved this age range so much. Still cuddly and needing mommy but also taking independent steps in leaps and bounds. Conversations get deeper and he really can do more things on his own.

Good luck to all of you!

Be you. No matter what people say, no matter what they do, listen to that voice inside that tells you what is right.

Like what you like, not what people tell you to like and never ever lose that beautiful smile.

I just adore that boy of yours. How is it possible he's in second grade already?!

I remember grade two and I remember feeling like a big kid. Tell This Kid that he won't be the only one who is new and everyone will be nervous even if they are return students. Being nervous on the first day is what it's all about.
